i cooked what might have been the best homecooked meal ever, according to walter. it was oven roasted venison tenderloin with cabernet sauce, blue cheese mashed red potatoes, and garlic haricots verts (green beans, i'm just being fancy). walter usually has some caveat to his praise of my cooking, but he declared tonight's the best meal ever. i am also proud of the fact that i managed to cook all three items simultaneously and have them all still be warm and delicious when it was time to assemble. with only two minor burns to show for it.
